New Family Addition

Over the weekend our family grew by one small addition. Saturday night my oldest son decided to go out at the last minute around 10:30. We live in the country with frontage on a 4 lane 65 mph highway. As he got out of his vehicle to open the drive through gate he found a small curled up ball of fur. The temperature was 18 degrees and the wind was blowing. The ball of fur was dirty, starved and cold.

He picked it up and realized it was unhurt, just in pitiful shape. Coming back to the house, he opened the front door and said, "Mom you've got to come here." I found him holding a small Pekingese cross dog. And so our family grew by one shaking bundle of fur.

Little Miss, is her name. Bathed, groomed and decked out with the latest doggie fashions this full grown dog had been dumped along the highway. Most likely because whoever got her from a puppy mill didn't have the slightest idea how to house break her and couldn't or wouldn't deal with it. So, whoever you are - thanks for dropping her by. Our home is full of throw away animals. She'll be cared for and loved.
