Uncertainty Is The Only Certainty

What we don't know seems to be the only thing we do know when it comes to the hunt for Osama bin Laden and Ayman Zawahiri. Since bin Laden has been so quiet for so long he could be dead. If he was taken out by military action, by his health, or by an earthquake is anybodies guess. Where he was when he last was heard from is speculation. Whether he is alive and unable to be heard from due to health or hiding is unknown.

Now we have the bombing in Pakistan purportedly due to the speculation that Zawahiri was in the area. Conflicting reports have been broadcast by the media as to who was responsible for the bombing, who was killed, and who really the bombs were intended for. Quickly, Zawahiri was named as the target, and the CIA was responsible for the act of bombing without the Pakistani governments approval. As quickly, reports that Zawahiri wasn't anywhere near the bombed areas have come out.

What we do know, with any certainty at all, is that we are uncertain of the facts being broadcast all over the world as to the circumstances involved with the Pakistani bombing. What we do know, with any certainty at all, is that we are uncertain as to the identities of all the anonymous sources of high rank from the Pakistani government and the US government being quoted by the media as to the source of their information.

What we do know, with any certainty at all, is that although we are uncertain as to the whereabouts and health status of Zawahiri we can be certain that he is laughing his a** off (on this earth or in hell) when it comes to the help that the media is giving to his cause.
