Judge Preferred Pubic Service

Yes, the title is correct. Judges are usually known for their public service to their communities, but in Creek County, Oklahoma they are getting ready to try former Judge Donald Thompson charged with servicing his pubic area rather than the public.

In a hearing today, Judge Thompson was ordered to stand trial on four counts of indecent exposure and one count of misusing a state computer. At the hearing,

... his former court clerk testified that he often masturbated during trial and once shaved his pubic area while on the bench.

Former Clerk Lisa Foster was the only witness during today's preliminary hearing in Bristow.

Foster worked for Thompson for 15 years before being fired in September 2003 as an investigation into Thompson's behavior was beginning.

Thompson was forced into an early retirement, under threat of being removed from the bench in 2004. He claims that the accusations against him are retaliatory and that the sexual appliance he is accused of using during trials was given to him as a "gag gift".

The thought of a judge diddling himself while wearing his robes has left many gagging.
